The Cupboard

Malia is finding it a bit crowded in her hiding place; and it always has to be the second shelf. Aidan hasn't made up there, yet, he tries but Malia is usually in the way. But he doesn't try unless she is already in there, then he wants to follow her.

WEDNESDAY

Well, another day in "THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES" hehehe

Both babies slept in today, for which I am very grateful since I only got about 3 hours of sleep.
They ate their breakfast without any fuss for a change. Aidan wasn't whiny at all (so far), but Malia had the need to be cuddled today, so that's what she got, and for once Aidan didn't throw a jealous fit. Malia is starting to bring little gifts; I don't know if it is because she loves to hear everybody say "Thank you", or what..? She does say "Ta Too" when you give it back to her. So I'm thinking this is a game of giving the gift back and forth, just as long as we both say "Ta Too". Aidan was busy trying to push the highchair around.

Birthday Party

Birthday Party

Malia and Aidan are now 1 year young.
The party was July 5, 2008, but their birth date is the 4th.
In these pics they are waiting for their cake. Aidan already got messy. ;-)

Thursday

Well, I thought I was going to have the whole day off, since Jiko is home... but no such luck. Jiko had to do a bit more shopping for the birthday party, and I actually convinced her to leave the babies home. It was 100 degrees out there, way too hot for little tykes. So I guess I can't blame her. ;-)
They each got a new toy telephone, a pre-birthday gift; and some new outfits to wear on their birthday. They both look so cute with those little hats that are part of the new outfits. Malia loves to wear anything on her head, (picture proves that) but Aidan isn't having any of that silly stuff. LOL

Mommy Is Home Today

They are definitely done eating.



Jiko took the day off, so now she has four days in a row to enjoy her babies. And I get to relax. (Hopefully)
Malia and Aidan eating a big breakfast. And I'm fixing breakfast for Jiko and me.

Malia woke up early this morning, and she didn't take more than a 20 minute nap a couple of hours later even though she was very tired. Then when she went for her noonish nap that didn't last very long either. No rest for me. Aidan slept in this morning and is taking a nice long nap right now.
At lunch time she preferred chewing on the highchair strap, but I did get her to eat quite a bit.
Aidan was a happy camper, but made a total mess of his clothes.

New Family Members

Both King and Suske were rescued by Lana and Gavin. King lost one leg, and Suske was sick and starving. They are now being well taken care of.

Only Tuesday

Aidan and Malia woke up around 7:30AM again. Malia drank part of her bottle but refused breakfast an hour later. Aidan only drank part of his bottle but ate his breakfast. I know this is minor stuff, but this is my way of keeping track on the amount of food they eat or drink. They are definitely not big eaters. But at least they are healthy.
Malia is extra whiny today.
And of course they will continue to try to go up the stairs.
There are two Mockingbirds in the back yard that are harassing KaiKai, I wonder if they have a nest nearby.
